Dr. Hyla Cass is a nationally known author and speaker in the field of integrative medicine and psychiatry. For more than 30 years Dr. Cass has pioneered treatments that blend natural medicine and nutritional therapies with modern science. She prioritizes root-cause approaches—mind, body, spirit, and environment—starting with safe, holistic interventions before considering pharmaceuticals, earning her the nickname “the non-drug psychiatrist.”
Dr. Cass earned her M.D. at the University of Toronto School of Medicine, followed by an internship at Los Angeles County–USC Medical Center, and psychiatric residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center/UCLA. She is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), and holds certification in Integrative Holistic Medicine (ABIHM).
Based in Southern California, Dr. Cass offers a limited virtual integrative medical practice focusing on psychiatry, addiction recovery, women’s health, cognitive wellness, stress reduction, and hormonal balance.
